First of all: Since everything happens according to substances and laws,
there is ultimately no freedom.
However, humans have a quasi-freedom of decision, since they do not know, as a rule they cannot know what has to be done due to the laws.
The urge for freedom arises when, for example, the aims of the SELF are hindered in their execution, and feelings arise and urge to achieve them anyway.
If this is not possible, then an attempt is made, e.g. to eliminate these obstacles. This is particularly the case with external goals that are seen as constraints. This increases the feeling of wanting to be free to achieve your goals.
Freedom also means being able to question your habits when they have become unhealthy.
